Jerry responded to a request on Vilakazi Street, in Soweto to search for a thin stray dog. Whilst enquiring from the community as to the whereabouts of the dog, he was told that the dog had been hit by a car.
The poor soul had been living as a stray ever since and had been given no treatment for his sore leg. Nelson was taken in the care of Jerry and is now well and looking for a new home
SARAC is committed not only to rehabilitating and re-homing our animals, but to finding a great match between each animal and their new family. We take into account the breed of the dog, the background, the temperament and personality, and try to find them the most suitable environment.
To adopt a puppy or dog from us, you will need to meet a certain criteria. This will include a face-to-face meeting with you and your family, as well as an inspection of your home and property. In order for us to find the "perfect match", we ask you to complete the application form which can be downloaded from clicking on this link application form, and e-mail this through to us.
This will help us to understand a little bit about you, and in turn what type of dog would thrive within your home environment and lifestyle. If there is a specific puppy or dog that you'd like to adopt, or if you'd like to find out more about our adoption process, please contact Jerry on +27 84 911 9459 or mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org
